Words to Ponder # 41

Words to Ponder # 41

Today’s ponderings come from Winnie the Pooh, who I’m finding remarkably relevant to living/becoming/developing in this strange and scary 21st century. So philosophical! So Vygotskian! So post-postmodern!  (Thank you, A.A.Milne for your creation.)

“When you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and you Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed very Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it.”

“Hello, Rabbit,” he said, “Is that you?”
“Let’s pretend it isn’t,” said Rabbit, “And see what happens.”

“‘What day is it?’ asked Pooh.
‘It’s today,’ squeaked Piglet.
‘My favourite day,’ said Pooh.”
