Almost 20 years ago, the late Fred Newman and I wrote an essay for an academic journal in critical psychology. We titled it All Power to the Developing! We meant to provoke academics with such a politically-rooted slogan-sounding title. (And we did.)

This past January, we at the East Side Institute resurrected this title for our podcast. Much has changed in the world since our article was published. Going beyond sloganeering, the title of our podcast is meant to convey that “all power to the developing” is a loving activity — a pulsing heart in an all too cruel world.

As one of 2 million podcasts out there (according to PodcastHosting.com), we have no illusions of a mass audience. But we do hope to become a go-to for anyone who wants to hear good news for a change,  to get inspired and intrigued, to become informed, and to meet some extraordinary people.
