Dreaming Big

Dreaming Big

On January 1, 2021 the East Side Institute brought in the new year with the launch of our podcast, All Power to the Developing. This is a project I’m very excited about. It’s a way to reach a wide audience with amazing stories from developmentalists across the world. So much great work and play is happening that most people don’t know about. In our small way, we’re working to remedy that. We dream big. Please dream with us—listen and share.

New episodes will appear every two weeks. So far  you can listen to these three …

Episode 1. I Invite You on a Therapeutic JourneyMurray Dabby, founder of the Atlanta Center for Social Therapy and co-founder of both The Couples College and Curtain Up, Anxiety Down, discusses his forty years of bringing play and improvisation to emotional growth and development.  Hosted by Janet Wootten.

Episode 2. Border Crossers Build Their Culture. Five participants with Developing Across Borders—Lea Cikos, Mariamalia Cob, Juan David Garzon, Steven Hart, and Morgane Masterman—hailing from five different countries, share how their Zoom-enabled weekly social therapeutic conversations help sustain their activism and develop their social and emotional skills. Hosted by Lois Holzman.

Episode 3. London All Stars Youth Find their Power. Chantelle Burley and Brian Mullin, co-founders of the All Stars London, share their work with young people from London’s poorest boroughs, encouraging them to perform their way to new possibilities they never imagined possible. Hosted by Dr. Carrie Lobman.
