Words to Ponder #30

Words to Ponder #30

Today’s words are from Jackie Salit, President of IndependentVoting.org, the country’s leading strategy and organizing center for independents. Jackie’s columns, talks and conversations cut through the mist that the news and its talking heads cover us with. This quote is from her essay, “Making Sense of the Senseless”  (October 11, 2017).

“The only way to make sense of a senseless world is to create a new one.”

Absolutely! jackie’s in good company — all the great philosophers and novelists have agreed. Not to mention Eugen Debs, Che, Fidel, Fred Newman, Philip K Dick, Margaret Atwood (“Oryx and Crate”), MLK, Emma Goldman, et al.
